I’ve had the LatteGo for six months. My experience has been outstanding. This is my first espresso machine, which I bought since my café habit was interrupted by the pandemic.
All I can say is OUTSTANDING. I drink cappuccinos and I really enjoy the drinks that this machine produces. Hot, big head of foam, and packs the caffeine punch. It takes under three minutes from “switch it on” to “first sip.” I’ve also enjoyed trying different brands of beans, some labelled espresso, some not, which is not available at the café.
Operating the machine is a breeze. It’s easy to refill the water and keep the bean hopper full. Cleaning is an easy routine. I highly recommend looking for the Philips maintenance videos on YouTube to supplement the information in the manual.
The cost out of the box is a little daunting. But if you conservatively estimate the life of the machine at three years, that works out to about $25 a month — far less than the different of a near daily cap from the café.
I’ll add one tip for those starting with this machine. When you power up or power down, place a spare cup under the dispenser to collect the self-cleaning water; this will reduce the frequency of emptying the drip tray.

After researching fully automatic espresso machines and reading tons of reviews, I finally settled on the Philips 3200 w/LatteGo. I am *so* glad I went with this machine! Setting up the machine is a piece of cake and took less than 5 minutes from unpacking to making my first espresso. The buttons are easy to read, understand, and use and operation is very simple.
I was on the fence about getting the LatteGo version as I do not typically drink coffee with milk however I am SO glad I got the LatteGo version! I never knew how much I enjoyed cappuccinos until now! I HIGHLY recommend getting the LatteGo variant of the 3200. They did an amazing job designing the milk frother. It attaches easily, holds a perfect amount of milk, and is extremely easy to clean.
I’ve been using 49th Parallel Epic Espresso which is pretty amazing coffee by itself. Combined with this machine, the product it produces is out of this world!
Cleaning the machine is super fast and easy. I pulled the coffee mechanism out, rinsed it off in the sink for a few seconds, let it dry, then placed it back inside. The same goes for the LatteGo container as I mentioned earlier. It too is a sinch to clean.
The *only* thing that shocked me a little is how often I need to refill the water container. It isn’t a problem at all and I’m probably just drinking way too much coffee but it seems like I have to fill it up at least once a day. It’s simple enough to do though so again, it isn’t a problem; I am just making an observation.
Overall, LOVE the machine and LOVE the coffee products it makes!! I highly recommend this model and am so thankful I went with this one, especially for the price! **Two thumbs up**

Got this to replace a Saeco (Philips) Minuto we wore out after seven years. This has the same compact size, and is a truly impressive machine. There have clearly been a lot of technical advances and design improvements since the old Minuto.
Operation is easy, and the touch-sensitive buttons make the machine easy to control. As a superautomatic, it’s simple to use: beans and water go in, coffee comes out. The machine handles the measuring, grinding, and brewing.
The machine makes three black coffee drinks: espresso, coffee, and Americano (shot of espresso plus hot water). I found all three beverages very good from the day I started using the machine, with the default settings. When you brew, you select one of three different cup sizes: small and medium are fixed sizes, the large you can program – within limits… you can’t set it high enough to fill your venti mug. You can also select single or double shot… if you select double, it makes twice as much (not twice as strong), grinding, brewing, and dispensing twice instead of once.,
The machine also makes two milk coffee drinks: cappuccino and macchiato. The first is made by dispensing steamed milk followed by a shot of espresso. The second is made by dispensing steamed milk followed by a shot of espresso. Both are good, but it’s going to take me more experience with this machine to tell them apart.
The big deal with this machine is the LatteGo attachment. It’s brilliant! Pour in milk, the machine steams it, delivers it with a bit of froth, and cleanup is simple: detach LatteGo and rinse it or run it through the dishwasher. I’ve tended to avoid steaming milk because of the wand cleanup required – but no more. Easy to use and to clean. (For the more technically minded: the steam is channeled through a venturi, which draws the milk from the container to mix with the steam and flow to the dispensing spout.)
That said, though, the LatteGo is a tradeoff. It replaces the steam wand, so you’re giving up the control you’d otherwise have over temperature, frothiness, and how the milk is poured… the machine is in charge of all that. I think the result is fine, but if you care about such things, be aware that the LatteGo models take away that option. There’s also no setting to simply steam milk for that bedtime cup of Ovaltine… LatteGo is there to make coffee drinks.
Anyway… I’m thrilled with the machine. It makes a delicious cup – much better than its predecessor did – and delivers a lot of function in a small size
